MBrassey's Description of Work

New port: misc/agtop, a top-like terminal UI for monitoring AI coding agents (CPU, memory, tokens, estimated spend, session activity), written in Rust.

Upstream: https://github.com/MBrassey/agtop (v2.5.0, MIT)

Notes on the port:
- CATEGORIES=misc, per prior review guidance for AI tooling
- CARGO_CRATES generated with make cargo-crates into a separate Makefile.crates; distinfo generated with make makesum, both run on FreeBSD
- Single binary; PLIST_FILES=bin/agtop, no pkg-plist
- No post-install target (stripping is automatic under USES=cargo)

Testing was done on an AWS EC2 instance running FreeBSD 15.1-RELEASE-p2, with poudriere jails for both supported releases and both ports branches.

portlint -A

looks fine.

portclippy Makefile and portfmt -D Makefile produced no findings.

make stage && make stage-qa && make check-plist && make package, followed by install, run, deinstall, pkg add of the built package, run again, and reinstall: all clean.

Upstream test suite built and run natively with the ports rust:

test result: ok. 93 passed; 0 failed; 0 ignored; 0 measured; 0 filtered out

Runtime check of the packaged binary (TUI, --once, --json) on:

FreeBSD 15.1-RELEASE-p2 releng/15.1-n283596-aadd58dddcbc GENERIC amd64
